Description: Technical Java WebSpher Lead (local Atlanta only) (#7992-24-MH1423) A Thompson Technologies client is seeking multiple Java WebSphere Technical Leads for a contract-to-hire opportunity located in downtown Atlanta.
May also be approached as a 1 year contract for the candidate that meets all required skills. -Must be local.
To qualify, Technical Leads must come from a Java development background and possess proven experience leading development efforts as Architect and/or Team Lead. The key technologies in this environment include:
*Java/J2EE, Web Services, WebSphere stack (WCC highly desired), COBOL/MainframeRequirements:
* 10+ years IT industry experience
* Experience leading teams of 15-25 development resources, across multiple tracks of work.
* Lead highly complex design and monitor all components for quality, overlap, etc.
* Ability to lead large technical teams across multiple platforms (WCC, SNET, ETL)
* Ability to lead team of developers, assign tasks and monitor status
* Ability to develop using Java, JMS, EJB, MQ; applicant must have strong Back End Java development experience
* Able to develop web services in J2EE or Websphere Application Server
* Excellent analytical skills, judgment and oral and written communication skills
* Ability and willingness to write clear technical documentation
* Demonstrated knowledge and experience with one or more of the following: Data Warehousing, Business Intelligence, ETL tools, RDBMS and/or multi-dimensional database; ERP systems (such as Oracle-GL, PeopleSoft), Java/J2EE/Web Services
* Demonstrated knowledge of Project Management methodology
Desired Skills:
* Experienced in a UNIX environment
* Ability to develop SQL code
* Experience working with DB2 UDB and on the zSeries
* Ability to comprehend COBOL code
* Experience with TSO on the Mainframe to support use of CA7, Spufi, Report generator and Platinum
* Experience working WebSphere products:
* WebSphere Application Server - WAS
* WebSphere Customer Center WCC/Infosphere MDM Server
* WebSphere QualityStage - WQS
* Ability to work with XML creation and comprehension
* Experience working with customer information systems
* Knowledge of business systems and processes within the financial services industry
