Description: Senior Consultant (Storage Backup) JOB SUMMARY
Current position available for a seasoned consultant with proven experience in designing and implementing enterprise data infrastructure and architecture. Experience must include core Storage design and implementation supporting both HA and DR capabilities as well as extensive experience with Symantec's Netbackup. Additional knowledge with virtualization and networking is a plus. The Senior Consultant is a multifaceted position with responsibilities in pre-sales support and project delivery. Pre-Sales support can include client discovery, solution design, statement of work development and solution presentation. Consulting can include solution strategy, design, implementation and support. The Senior Consultant will function as a technical consultant with activities including transferring technical information to high profile clients and team members, management of project deliverables and developing and maintaining client relations. A successful candidate for this position will be able to demonstrate excellent project management and communication skills in addition to a sound technical background. Principal Accountabilities
? Ownership of client engagements from the role of Technical Delivery Management to Lead Technical Consultant
? Ability to work independently, perform a team member role and/or lead a team of consultants in the delivery of exceptional solutions in a professional manner
? Client focused consulting responsible for implementing services to meet client objectives
? Support the business development team in identifying and closing engagement opportunities by developing innovative solutions, presenting the solution and producing statements of work.
? Ability to work independently throughout the client engagement process. From Sales through project delivery and project closeout
? Drive development of iVision intellectual property through the development of methodologies and toolsets in area of specialization
? Perform technical presentations for customers, partners and prospects
? Accurately and efficiently produce documentation to exceed the clients expectations as well as provide for reusability for future initiatives
? Responsible for the knowledge transfer to clients of all areas of the solution
? Support the growth of relationships with strategic technical partners
? Mentor and develop other technical resources
? Represent iVision at conferences and user group meetings
? Develop a baseline understanding of existing Client infrastructures
? Travel is an integral part of this position. POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Technology Experience and Knowledge
? Hands on experience with enterprise storage technologies (ie, EMC, HP, Netapp, Nexsan)
? Experience with iSCSI and Fiber based SAN
? Experience with automated data replication technologies
? Hands on experience with enterprise backups in an architectural and management role
? Experience architecting HA and DR solutions
? Experience implementing policy based multi-tier Information Lifecycle Management based solutions Qualifications
? BS/BA (EE/CS) or equivalent
? Symantec Netbackup Certification
? SAN Vendor specific specialist certifications (ie Brocade, EMC, NetApp, etc)
? Five ten years related experience is required.
? Pre-Sales experience is required.
? High proficiency with project management and resource tracking/management.
? Knowledge of software and/or hardware, testing and implementation.
? Excellent communication skills and the proven ability to interact with senior-level technical and business decision-makers as a strategic advisor.
? The ability to travel 50-100% is required.
? Outstanding customer service skills.
? Ability to apply solutions, technology and products to a business opportunity.
